This is the Private Message SYStem (PMSys) homepage.
PMSys is written in PHP and uses MySQL to store it's data. PMSys is coded by Allowee.
It was originally written by ThePasty but I've setup the project at SourceForge.net and developed the 2.* versions

PMSys 3 Development

Development on PMSys 3 has been restarted. PMSys 3 will be a completely re-written version of PMSys based on the features of 2.x.x versions but with many changes. It will be written in modules around a core. It will feature significant security and efficiency increases, as well as built in support for a great deal of customizations and improvements.
The full feature list is as follows:

• Fast, efficient script written in modules aound a core.
• Support for multiple templates and skins.
• Support for multiple languages through language packs.
• Support for a far greater range of customizations through the admin interface.
• Search for members to send messages to through the compose page.
• Support for multiple BBCodes. Comes with the default BBCode, and more can be added through definition files.
• Support for multiple emoticaons and image sets.
• Users can set up a detailed profile, far more detailed than with PMSys 2.x.x.
• Security improved drastically, with built in optional mcrypt support, and many other security enhancements.
• All built in HTML code fully XHTML 1.0 strict compliant.
• Messages can be exported in a variety of formats.
• And, of course, all the old features from PMSys 2.x.x releases.

Current Progress

PMSys 3 is still early in the development cycle. The core is still being developed, and development of the modules will not be started until the core is complete. The default skin and template set is currently set to be the same as the template for PMSys 2. The core has not been developed so far with encryption support, so this will be added at a later date.
